Rosetta Lens is built with the help of research datasets and open-source software. We are grateful to their authors.
Datasets
Egyptian hieroglyphs
The App's on-device Egyptian hieroglyph model was developed using the hieroglyph dataset by Fuentes-Ferrer, Duque-Domingo and Herrera:

Ancient Greek characters (AL-PUB)
The App's on-device Greek character model was developed using the AL-PUB dataset of labelled Greek characters from published Oxyrhynchus papyri, created through the Ancient Lives citizen-science project:
Swindall, M. I., Croisdale, G., Hunter, C. C., Keener, B., Williams, A. C., Brusuelas, J. H., Krevans, N., Sellew, M., Fortson, L., & Wallin, J. F. (2021). Exploring learning approaches for ancient Greek character recognition with citizen science data. In 2021 IEEE 17th International Conference on eScience (eScience) (pp. 128–137). IEEE.
